This mixture is capable of yielding as much dry matter as a conventional ryegrass sward, but with better drought tolerance and less nitrogen requirement.
Mob
grazing, long rotation grazing and holistic grazing all need a greater range of grass species and by adding deeper rooting herbs and legumes we increase the resilience of these swards to extremes of drought and waterlogging. The greater botanical diversity has the added benefit ofincreasing soil biota, organic matter, invertebrates and pollinator insects.
They are best grazed, but may be cut occasionally
